The Palace of Versailles, or Versailles, was built by King Louis XIV to show off his power over the people of France. He took 30 years to complete it and it cost more than $10 million USD. It’s been visited by millions since then with many coming just to see how things were done back when it was completed nearly 300 years ago. Check out its most beautiful gardens in the world.
