Violante Nonno
I’m a Deaf woman from Rome with Neapolitan roots, and my name sign is “Smiling.” I hold a degree in Cultural Heritage Conservation from Naples and work as a licensed tour guide.
In Rome, I collaborate with various museums, including the Vatican Museums, the ViVe Museum Hub, the Chiostro del Bramante for exhibitions, and Palazzo Sciarra.
For years, I’ve worked with the Borghese Gallery’s Accessibility Office, developing guided tours and inclusion projects to make the museum more welcoming for Deaf visitors.
I also provide consulting for LIS (Italian Sign Language) art videos, focusing on historical and artistic content, and I teach LIS in the fields of art, history, and lip-reading techniques.

Giulia Peracchio
My name is Giulia, I’m Deaf and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
I’m a licensed tour guide and currently work in museum education at institutions like the Vatican Museums, the ViVe Museum Hub, and St. Peter’s Factory.
I also collaborate with various associations on accessibility projects to make guided tours more inclusive for Deaf visitors.
I’ve had the opportunity to teach courses on the use of LIS (Italian Sign Language) in the arts, aimed at interpreters.
I love my job and always aim to bring people into the world of history and art during my tours!
