When we first established Hands On Italia in 2002, our sole focus was to start providing high quality and communication accessible tours in Italy for deaf Americans. The reason we decided to do this is because I was living in Rome and I wanted my fellow deaf Americans to appreciate my adopted city and allow me to show them the best parts of Rome. We also added on tours to the Amalfi Coast and Tuscany. A few years later, we added Venice to complete the experience.
For more than 20 years now, we have continued to refine the tour to the point where I believe it is truly the best itinerary for the first-timer to experience all the best parts of Italy – the Amalfi Coast, Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Pisa, Venice, and much more in between. Even though it is impossible for us to show all of Italy in only two weeks, we have started to offer additional tours including Southern Italy & Greece and Northern Italy for those who are still curious to explore more of Italy.
In addition we are available to offer private and customized tours of Italy upon request as I am still living in Rome (23 years now!) and would be more than happy to do whatever necessary to make your trip here a wonderful and memorable one.
