14 DAYS / 13 NIGHTS
DAY 1 - 4
DAY 1 - Arrival in Paris. Meet your tour guide and transfer to our private van(s) to head out to Normandy region. Check in Rouen for rest and recover. Go for a lovely stroll in this historic town and see where Saint Joan of Arc was burned at. Have a welcome dinner. Overnight in Bayeux.
DAY 2 - We drive from Rouen to Bayeux with a stopover at a quaint port, Honfleur. Arrive in Bayeux and do a stroll around town. See the incredible Bayeux Tapestries, woven with rich history as well as the gorgeous cathedral. Sleep in Bayeux for 2 nights.
DAY 3 - Today, it’s all about the D-Day sights: Starting with the museum in Arromanches, followed by the Longues-sur-Mer gun battery, Normandy American Cemetery, Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument, and Omaha Beach itself. Return to Bayeux and enjoy your evening.
DAY 4 - Visit Mont St. Michel, probably France’s most popular sight. Spend most of the day here to explore the interesting history of the island. Arrive in charming historical town, Dinan. Overnight in Dinan.
DAY 5 - 8
DAY 5 - Enjoy the morning around the charming town before a long afternoon drive to Amboise. Sleep in Amboise for 3 nights.
DAY 6 - A leisure day by visiting the Chateau du Clos-Lucè where Leonardo Da Vinci worked, and Chateau du Amboise.
DAY 7 - Another leisure day in the Loire Valley and visit the chateux of Chenonceau, chateaux of Chambord, and the feeding of the hunting dogs at Cheverny.
DAY 8 - Say goodbye to the countryside and arrive in Paris by midday. Rest and recover before a late afternoon stroll around the historic Montmartre district where Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir and Picasso once lived in. See Sacre-Coeur atop the hill and view the city from above! Enjoy dinner in an old restaurant with classic French cuisines. Stay in Paris for 6 nights.
DAY 9 - 12
DAY 9 - Get oriented with a local Deaf guide around the heart of the Paris, ‘Ile de la Cité’ all day. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, Sainte Chapelle and Conciergerie. Have an early dinner before heading up atop the Eiffel Tower by sundown.
DAY 10 - Explore the artistic treasures of the Louvre Museum, including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Afterwards, see the Abbe de l'Epee cenotaph, the statue of Saint Joan of Arc, the Tuileries Gardens, the Arc de Triomphe and finally, the famous viewpoint of the Eiffel Tower at the Trocadero.
DAY 11 - Go to Versailles for the day to visit the royal palace during the glorious 1700s, when Louis XIV the Sun King and France was at the forefront of Europe. We visit the royal chateau and the lavish gardens. Return to Paris.
DAY 12 - Visit the St. Jacques deaf school in Paris, where Laurent Clerc spent his formative years under the tutelage of Abbe Sicard. Learn about the other famous people who was a part of the St. Jacques deaf school, including the founder Abbe de l'Epee and Jean Massieu. Stroll through the picturesque Luxembourg Gardens nearby. Have dinner at a cozy deaf-owned restaurant with its Moroccan-inspired dishes.
DAY 13 - 14
DAY 13 - We go to the ridiculous Napoleon's tomb and the fascinating military museum at the Invalides. Free time for the rest of day before a farewell dinner. Take an evening river cruise to bid ‘adieu’ to Paris.
DAY 14 - Head to the airport anytime for your next respective destination.
