Hello! I want to talk with you all about something important – travel insurance! Hands On Travel has been in this business for 23 years (and more to come!), and we can say we have seen so many different situations come up! Of course, when you’re on a tour, you don’t know what’s going on during other tours, but we all have seen things come up and happen, to the point where we really need to emphasize this: getting travel insurance can give you more confidence so you can relax and enjoy your tour!

Another possible situation is that you may have some kind of emergency – family, job, or others – that would prevent you from traveling. What if you have an extremely long flight delay where you are forced to get a hotel room and pay more for food? Travel insurance can help with  the reimbursement of those costs. OH, there are so many possibilities where travel insurance can help! 

We have seen many situations where we went, “oh whew!!! That customer was so lucky to have travel insurance!” Hey, travel insurance can be somewhat compared to car insurance. You pay for car insurance every month, and nothing happens. Then one day you get in a car accident; maybe the car will need extensive repairs, or even replacing, and you may have medical bills from that. That’s where you go, oh whew! I have car insurance to cover for that! That is just like travel insurance! You just never know what could happen – many months before the tour, or even right before the tour starts. We’ve seen people cancel just 2 weeks before the tour!
