EGYPT 2025

Our journey through Egypt began in Cairo, where warm night air, constant motion, and centuries of history welcomed us all at once. From sweeping views atop the Citadel and the calm beauty of the Alabaster Mosque to the lively chaos of Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, Cairo immediately revealed itself as intense, layered, and unforgettable.

We traveled north to Alexandria, exploring ancient catacombs, standing before Pompey’s Pillar, and marveling at the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina—built on the legacy of the world’s greatest ancient library. Back in Cairo, the Great Pyramids of Giza left us speechless, their scale and permanence defying imagination. The Grand Egyptian Museum brought history face to face with us through the treasures of King Tutankhamun.

Flying south to Aswan, we slowed to the rhythm of the Nile. Temples rose from the riverbanks—Philae, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak, and Luxor—each telling stories of gods, kings, and devotion carved in stone. A felucca sail at sunset and days aboard our Nile cruise offered moments of quiet reflection between awe-inspiring sites. Abu Simbel, relocated stone by stone, stood as a triumph of both ancient ambition and modern preservation.

Our journey ended back in Cairo, exploring Old Cairo’s churches and synagogue, the Egyptian Museum, and the Royal Mummies—an unforgettable encounter with Egypt’s past. As we departed, we carried with us a deep appreciation for a country where history is not just remembered, but lived every day.
